Recently, the Australia Week • China 2016 was held in multiple locations across China. This is a business event launched and led by the Minister for Trade and Investment Australia. The special event has brought more than 1,000 stakeholders together which include Australian government officials, related industrial representatives and corporate executives. During the Australia Week • China event, high quality food and consumer goods are major considerations in many business discussions, especially in the field of dairy and baby formula product. The Hon Steven Ciobo MP, the Minister for Trade and Investment Australia gave a speech and launched a cross-industry cooperation project. This cooperation is composed by three industrial associations: Australian Meat and Livestock Association, Dairy Australia and Wine Australia. While attending a discussion forum of “internet plus” with Hangzhou e-commerce traders, the executive consultant of Michiko Australia, Ms Maria Chan was interviewed by Hangzhou Daily Newspaper. She says cross-border e-commerce is still a new field to most Australian business. After few conversations with many Hangzhou local commercial firms, she joked that she doesn’t want to retire, but work for an another 20 years with such great business opportunities.
